The Move

Hi my faithful followers and spectators!! I really appreciate the visits. Please leave me a note and let me know that you stopped by.
Tomorrow is weigh in day….I will see how much my efforts have paid off this week. Over the week, I have made some major changes around the house to prepare my family and me for this life style change. Now that I have gotten them over the shock of not having chips, ice cream and cookies around to snack on, I think it’s time I tell them the 100 calories snacks’ serving size is not the entire box.
The biggest change I made this week is moving the exercise bike from my daughter’s room into the living room. The reason I made this change is number one, my three year old daughter was beginning to think it was her personal jungle gym and number two, the more I view it, the more likely I will get on it. It’s going to be my chair whenever I am not doing homework, (yes, I am a student too). I have already been on my bike twice this week, yeah!! I’m going to attempt to make it my new best friend.
Well tomorrow will be a long day… so I am going to say my prayers and call it a night.

  1. In life we make choices some good and some not so good. But the choice you have made is a good choice. Life brings harsh realities but when we are able to face these realities and take control of our destiny-we are moving in the right direction. I applaud your effort and pray for your success and that I too will be able to face those same realities in the very near future.

  2. Shannon, I'm so proud of you! The first step is ALWAYS the hardest!! I don't know if you are aware of this, but I too come from a LONG line of obesity. My grandmother was a diabetic and my oldest sister lives with it now, because of her weight.
Try not to think of this as a "diet", but rather a lifestyle change because you know you deserve that isn't tied to a needle! Do it for yourself first then your family!! Anything is possible if you BELIEVE (just as God and everyone around you believes in you)!!
I wish you all the best and I'll be here if you need anything!!
